Hotel Lev claims it is a 5-star hotel located near the tourist area of Preseren Square. By American standards, the hotel would qualify as a nice 3-star. The bathroom had a granite counter, but there was also a large water damage spot on the ceiling above the shower.

The location of the hotel is quite good. From the hotel, it's only a 5-minute walk to Preseren Square. From there, visitors have the choice of many restaurants and bars. The walk is in a nice area, and feels quite safe.

The Room

The room I was in had one small bed. The bed would be quite small for two people, and is definitely more comfortable as a one-person bed. There was two chairs, a small desk, a small table, and a TV. The TV offered a few channels in a number of different languages.

Internet access was provided wirelessly through NEO WLAN. You could purchase 1, 2, or 24 hours of internet access to be used in a fixed time period. I purchased 24 hours of internet access to be used over 72 hours (for €15).

The bed was reasonably comfortable - I had no difficulty having a good nights sleep.

The Bathroom

The bathroom looked fairly nice. There was a bathtub with a shower head, although it took me awhile to figure out how to get the water to come out of the spout. The trick is that it can't be changed when the water is running - you need to set the water position before turning on the water.

The provided towels were also quite uncomfortable. They felt that they were made out of paper, rather than material. They didn't soak up any water, but just moved the water around.

Most room rates include breakfast. The breakfast here is a buffet breakfast in the lobby. The buffet offers cereal, toast, fruit, vegetables, and even some hot items like pancakes and sausages. The food isn't that high quality, but there are enough options to not get tired with it after a day or two.
