Gourmet Pizza is a pizzeria in Uptown Waterloo. They offer a selection of pizzas with non-traditional toppings (although they also offer standard toppings). Their pizzas are quite good and not too expensive. When we were there they had a deal that a second pizza was $5 off (although they forgot to give us the $5 off until we reminded them). They have a couple of tables inside and a outside.

Items Ordered

Greek Salad

Head lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese, kalamata olives, and balsamic vinaigrette
Cost:Small $2.99, Large $4.99

We ordered a large Greek salad because we were hungry and wanted something that would be ready sooner than the pizza. The salad was quite large and shared between four people. The quality of the vegetables was a little poor, but otherwise the salad was alright. It wasn't really a Greek salad except that it had feta cheese and olives. The salad was mostly lettuce, with just a couple other vegetables as toppings

Barbecue Chicken Pizza

Barbecue sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken breasts, bacon strips, sliced tomato, and roasted zucchini
Cost:Small $11.99, Medium $14.99, Large $17.99

This was a small pizza, which is a little larger than a personal-sized pizza. It was different from your typical barbecue chicken pizza. The barbecue flavor wasn't overpowering and I think it was also mixed with tomato sauce. The crust was fairly thin and crispy.

Mediterranean Pizza

Tomato sauce, mozzarella and feta cheese, red onion, sliced tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and black olives
Cost:Small $11.99, Medium $14.99, Large $17.99

This pizza was also ordered in small size. The combination of mozzarella and feta cheese was quite good. It gave the good flavor of feta cheese without making the pizza too salty. I thought there was a good amount of toppings on the pizza. The crust was also thin and crispy.

Service

The service style is more like a fast-food restaurant. Place your order at the counter, pay, and then pick a table to sit at. They bring your food to you when it's ready.

Parking

There are several parking spots on the street, and also a large parking lot across the street.

Cost

Most pizzas are $12, $15, and $18 for small, medium, or large.

Dress

Very casual.
