Garfunkel's is a chain of quick and low-quality restaurants in London that offer cheap food. This location was located right next to the Oxford Circus tube station. Everything we had was incredibly greasy, but also quite cheap.

Dress

Very casual

Cost

Very cheap - there was a special when we visited where our two breakfast items were only £10.

Items Ordered

Bacon or Sausage and Eggs

This is what a British breakfast is all about! Two rashers of bacon or two juicy pork and leek sausages and two fried eggs. Comes served with toasted bloomer, choose from white or brown.
Cost:£5.95

Both our plates were covered in grease, and everything tasted heavy. This dish came with two eggs - one was overdone, and one was underdone, so there was some variety. The toast was a bit sweeter and denser than regular bread. The bacon was thick and very fatty. It tasted more like a heavily salted ham than american-style bacon.

Traditional British Breakfast

Bacon, a juicy pork and leek sausage, hash brown, large flat mushroom, fried egg, half a large grilled tomato.
Cost:£6.95

This dish was also very greasy - even the mushroom was drenched in grease. The tomato may have been the only non-greasy item here - it was slightly roasted.

The hash brown had a crispy shell and was pretty average. The sausage was a slightly sweet sausage, and pretty good tasting.
