Five Guys Burgers and Fries on LaGuardia Place

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is a fast food chain across the US. They have several locations in New York City including this one near Washington Square park. This location was a pretty good size with several tables inside, and a couple of tables outside.

They offer higher quality fast food style hamburgers and fries. They also had shelled peanuts in a large bin that you could enjoy for free.

Dress

Very Casual - anything is fine.

Cost

The cost is perhaps slightly higher than your typical fast food restaurant, but still a very good deal.

Service

You go up to the counter and place your order and pay at the cash register. Then wait for your number to be called to get your food. You can then take a seat at any of the available tables.

The hamburgers are thin, but juicy. The toppings are all free, and the selection is quite extensive. It includes some items that usually cost extra, such as grilled onions and mushrooms. I also thought it was nice that they had a little hamburger option (with just one patty) for the light eaters.

Fries

The fries were cut potatoes, deep fried and salted. They're the style of fries that have potato skins on the ends. They were fairly thin and crispy. There was only one size cup, but they overfilled it (so we couldn't take it out of the bag). It was enough fries to share between two people.

On their board, they wrote where the potatoes came from in the US. I thought that was a neat touch.
