Emack & Bolio's is a chain of ice cream parlors in some cities in the northeast US. This location was at the corner of W Broadway and Houston street in NYC. They offer overpriced ice cream that tastes more or less like what you can get elsewhere, but it's made with more 'natural ingredients'.

Dress

Very casual

Cost

We paid about $9 for a 2-scoop ice cream cone (in a fancy waffle cone)

Service

The service was awful. We only went here because we had a gift certificate. The employee at the store had no idea how to deal with it so he had to call a manager, who walked him through the process while we were held captive. We had to wait between 10-15 minutes while he entered it in the cash register and wrote down all the details. It was ridiculous how long we were made to wait.

Items Ordered

2 Scoops

Cost:Approx. $9

The waffle cone we got was fancy looking - the top of it was coated in chocolate and pieces of crushed reeses pieces. The two flavors we selected were mint chocolate chip and chocolate mousse. The mint chocolate chip tasted just like a typical mint ice cream while the chocolate mousse tasted like a plain chocolate.

Other than the little bit of reeses pieces on the cone, there really wasn't anything special about this ice cream. Considering the price, I would recommend going elsewhere.
