Ditch Plains is a fairly large restaurant located on the upper west side of Manhattan. When we first arrived around 6:30p the entrance to the restaurant was full of strollers and there were tons of kids running around. About 30 minutes later they dimmed the lights and the atmosphere improved.

Dress

It's a fairly casual place

Cost

Most entrees were between $15-$25

Reservations

It seemed pretty busy on a saturday evening, but the restaurant is quite large. Reservations aren't necessary, but they might be a good idea.

Items Ordered

Beer Battered Fish & Chips

tartar sauce
Cost:$16

The fish and chips was pretty typical. It's what you'd expect from fish and chips. There were three fairly large pieces of breaded and deep-fried fish sitting on top some average fries.

Soft Tacos

fish, steak, chicken or smoked tofu
salsa, lettuce & pickled onion
Cost:$21

Looking back at it I can't believe these tacos were $21. They were small, dry, and didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't recommend them. Additionally, they first brought out fish tacos even though I ordered chicken. They were quick to swap them out for chicken tacos. I don't know if they forgot the salsa, but these were some of the most plain and empty tacos I've ever had.
