Fireworks at the Cyrano de Bergerac show at Versailles

"Cyrano de Bergerac et les Empires du Soleil" is a performance that is put on by the French performance group "Group F". The show takes place at the Bassin de Neptune at The Gardens of Versailles. Visitors enter through a separate entrance for the show, so it's not possible to see the gardens during your visit for the show.

The show itself was enjoyable. There was a very limited story, but as in most of these types of performances, the story was just there to pretend to link the various acts together.

The show involved a number of actors dressed up in costumes containing lots of lights. They moved around in front of the audience, on wires in the air, and on a couple islands in the Bassin. Rather than any acrobatics routines, the show focused more on lights and fireworks. There were a number of great fire and firework displays, which were neat to watch. The setting was also quite beautiful at night.

Kids would love this type of show, although there was one strange "sex" scene (with the actors in lights) which didn't seem to fit with the rest of the show. Most of the audience found it amusing, and there were lots of chuckles as the children asked what the actors were doing.
