Crispers is a chain of restaurants in Florida similar to Panera Bread. They offer healthy sandwiches, soups, and salads. Sandwiches are served with a bag of potato chips and a pickle.

This location is located right near the I75 highway, although not immediately off an exit. It was fairly large inside with lots of tables and booths, but we were tempted by the beautiful weather to sit at a small outdoor table.

It was a little confusing when we first walked in. We couldn't find the menu. It wasn't placed above the counter like most fast food restaurants. We eventually found a paper menu next to a cash register. You place your order and pay to receive a number that you take to your table where the food is brought to you. Although they offer a wide selection of sandwiches, they seem pretty flexible, so feel free to make substitutions to your bread/sandwich toppings.

Cost

Around $6-$7 for a sandwich.

Items Ordered

Signature Sandwich - Southwest Chicken

Warm southwest chicken with pepper jack cheese, leaf lettuce, and tomato, finished with our honey-lime dressing on our own tomato onion ciabatta.
Cost:$6.99

This was a pretty good sandwich. The sandwich was mostly one very large thick piece of chicken. It was topped with a bit of lettuce and a tomato slice. It had a mild spice to it.

Signature Sandwich - Asiago Beef

Not spicy...but very tasty. Cool roast beef with melted jack cheese, asiago cheese, tomatoes, leaf lettuce, and a sensational red pepper pesto sauce. Piled high on our toasted tomato onion ciabatta.
Cost:$6.99

I ordered this sandwich with the multi grain ciabatta bun instead. As in the description, this sandwich was not spicy, but very tasty. The cheese was very good and went well with the beef. The sauce was a little bit messy.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Cost:$3.59

This was a fairly large drink. It tasted fresh and creamy. It was served with whipped cream on top making it more like a dessert drink. It was quite good, although it tasted like artificial sweeteners.
