Clara's On The River is an old train station that has been converted into a restaurant. They offer American-style food. Sunday mornings (until 3pm), they offer a Sunday brunch, although the quality of the brunch didn't look that great.

The quality of food at Clara's isn't anything spectacular - it is good American food, but not of superb quality. I still recommend eating at Clara's, however, because it is a historic building, and it's in a beautiful location. It is located right next to a river, and very close to a nice memorial park.

Items Ordered

Vanilla Milkshake

This was a typical delicious milkshake served with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Black Bean Soup

Cost:$3.49 for a cup, $4.49 for a bowl

The black bean soup was quite good. It had a nice spice to it. It was very thick and quite filling. The picture shows the bowl size, which I couldn't finish even though it was the only thing I ate.

Bacon & Cheddar Potato Skins

Cost:$7.99

These potato skins were great. There was enough potato left on them to serve as a meal, and they were covered with lots of cheese and bacon. They were served with a bowl of sour cream. The potato skins were nicely fried, so they were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.
