Cafe Lalo is a very popular place to visit and spend some time with your friends. The place was full of life on a late Saturday evening. It was very crowded, and many two person tables had three or four people around them. They have some very attractive desserts in their display case.

The restaurant has a nice European decor with a wall of large windows that open to the outside on a nice day. Being on a smaller street, it's great to sit by the window without much street noise.

Dress

Casual - shorts and t-shirt are fine

Cost

Most desserts were less than $10

Service

On a busy evening, the service wasn't very attentive, but we didn't have to wait too long to get our order.

Reservations

I don't think they take reservations. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were seated after about 10-15 minutes of waiting for a table.

Items Ordered

Milkshake

Blended with your choice of ice cream plus Chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry syrup
Cost:$6

I ordered the coffee ice cream milkshake without any syrup. It was creamy and delicious!

I had originally tried to order a mint milkshake, but the only ice cream flavors they had left were vanilla, chocolate, and coffee.

Chocolate Satin Cake

Cost:$7

By the name, this cake sounded like it would be light and chocolatey. It was definitely chocolatey, but it was also incredibly heavy. We had trouble finishing this cake slice, and we were sharing it between two people! It was tasty, but too much chocolate for just one sitting. It was very thick and fudgey.
