The Bruce Trail is a very long group of trails - this review is talking specifically about the Bruce Trail in Burlington. To access the Bruce Trail, head north on Kerns Road towards Dundas Street (highway 5). There is a parking lot for Kerncliff Park. You can either park there, or go up the hill, and park just off the road on the small "car parking areas" near the trail entrance.

The views from the area are quite nice, especially in the autumn. The main trail is marked by white rectangles on trees, and is quite clear.

Kerncliff Park

Kerncliff Park refers to the park area on the lower part of a cliff. There is a boardwalk here you can walk around on, and appreciate the view of the flora and rock. If you're just looking to access the Bruce Trail, I've always found it easier to continue driving towards Dundas Street on Kerns Road past the Kerncliff Park parking area, and instead park just off the road (as mentioned above).

The Bruce Trail offers many nice views of Kerncliff Park (and the rest of the area) from above.

Cost

This is a free attraction. There are no charges of any kind.

Shoes, Dress, and Estimated Visiting Time

You probably want to wear comfortable running or hiking shoes, since this is an unpaved, dirt trail (often covered with tree roots, leaves, and rocks). Dress should also be comfortable and appropriate for hiking - shorts or jeans, for example. You can really visit for as long as you want - the trail is huge, and you could hike for days. To enjoy the best views, allow at least 30 minutes.
