Items Ordered

Bread and Dipping Oil

Cost:Free

After we had made our order, the server brought over a small basket of bread and a dish with a spiced dipping oil in it. The bread had a number of herbs, and was fairly tasty. When combined with the dipping oil, it was excellent! The oil was mildly spiced, and went very well with the bread.

Chicken Parmesan Milanese

Crisp, freshely-breaded Romano-crushed chicken breast with fresh Mozzarella and Pomodoro sauce. Served with herb pasta and shaved Parmesan
Cost:$11.99

This was pretty good for a chicken parmesan. The chicken itself was what you would expect - it was a piece of thin chicken that was fried (like a schnitzel). The pasta itself was nothing special - it was plain white pasta, and was mostly flavorles. The red sauce that was served with the pasta was excellent - it was very flavorful, and had a creamy flavor. It went very well with the chicken and the pata.

Margherita Panini with Zuppa

A classic margherita-style panini with fresh Mozzarella, sliced Provolone, roasted Roma tomatoes, basil-pine nut pesto and fresh basil, served with Wedding Soup or Soup Del Giorno
Cost:$8.99

This panini was quite disappointing. It was more like a grilled cheese sandwich with basil and grilled tomato in it than anything else. The sandwich was fairly greasy, and the cheese wasn't uniformly distributed. Oftentimes I had one bite with far too much cheese followed by another bite that didn't have enough cheese. The combination of different types of cheese was pretty good though. This was really good for a grilled cheese sandwich, but not what I expected for a panini.

The panini was ordered with a salad instead of the soup. The caesar salad was a pretty good typical caesar salad, and had a few croutons that were excellent. I thought there was a little too much dressing, although the dressing was quite good with a hint of garlic.
