The Bleeding Heart is a somewhat upscale French restaurant located in London. The food was all pretty good moderately upscale French food. From what we could tell, all their waiters were French. The restaurant is hidden in a small courtyard off Greville street, but our taxi driver knew exactly where it was.

Dress

Somewhat fancy. Most men were wearing suit jackets, but they weren't required. We had come from another event, so we were wearing jeans and a nice shirt. I felt a little bit under dressed, but it wasn't a problem.

Cost

There was a three-course fixed price menu available for £29.50.

Reservations

Reservations are recommended. We were able to call about one hour before arriving (7:30pm on a Friday) and get a reservation, but otherwise they seemed pretty full.

Items Ordered

Amuse-bouche

We were presented with this amuse-bouche shortly after ordering. It was a small salad that was pretty tasty.

Soup of the Day

Cost:£5.95

I don't remember what the soup of the day was anymore, but it was very creamy and a large bowl. I quite enjoyed it.

Suprême of Maize-fed Chicken

with Baby Artichokes, Briased Caraway Cabbage and Red Wine Sauce
Cost:£16.95

The chicken was moist, and was topped with a very tasty sauce. It was sitting on a bed of cabbage with baby artichokes on the side. Everything was quite good, but the red wine sauce really made it special.

A Three Beet Salad

Golden, Ruby, and Candy-striped with Crème de Chèvre with Walnut and Cider Dressing
Cost:Part of £29.50 Set Menu de Février

The three beet salad was presented very nicely. There were a few pieces of beet served along with a creamy goat cheese and some greens. The salad was topped with a very sweet dressing that went well with everything else.

Fillet of Sea Bass

Linguini Nero with Julienne of Leek, Saffron Sauce
Cost:Part of £29.50 Set Menu de Février

The sea bass was OK, but I thought it was a bit on the dry side. It was served on top of some greens and black linguini.

Pistachio Crème Brulée

with Red Wine and Cherry Sorbet
Cost:Part of £29.50 Set Menu de Février

This crème brulée was one of the most delicious I have had. It was incredibly creamy. It was served with two cherries and some white little cookie things that were kind of textured like styrofoam (but sweeter). It was served with two cherries. I don't know where the sorbet was, but the cherries might have been soaked in red wine.
