Austin Grill is a typical American-style restaurant that serves Tex-Mex food. They have a large dining room, although there was still about a 30 minute wait when we arrived around 6pm on a Saturday evening.
Overall, there was nothing really note worthy about the restaurant. They served typical American style food that was good, but nothing special.

Average for this type of restaurant. Most entrees ranged from $10-$20.
Service
Austin Grill was quite busy, but I was a bit disappointed in the service. Everything seemed to be operating slower than it should have been. For example, the table which we were eventually seated in was open for at least 5-10 minutes before we were shown to it. We knew we were next up on the list to be seated, and wondered why our group of two wasn't being seated in the obviously open and ready table. (There were already nachos on the table waiting for us).
Items Ordered
Nachos & Salsa
By the time we were seated, we were quite hungry. It was great to have those nachos there waiting for us. They were typical fried nachos, but the salsa was a bit more watery than I would have liked.
Carnitas Tacos
Braised pork marinated in oranges and garlic with onions, cilantro, and BBQ sauce, served with black beans and cilantro rice. The Carnitas Tacos were pretty good. This meal consisted of three small tacos, with beans and rice on the side. The tacos had a BBQ sauce flavor, but were a bit on the salty side. The meat was a bit tough.
Austin Pesto Chicken
Topped with Pipita-cilantro pesto and Jack cheese with chile mashed sweet potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables. (Add an austin house salad for $2.99)The Austin Pesto Chicken was pretty good. There was really not much pesto on the chicken, so it was mostly just cheese on chicken. The mashed sweet potatoes were quite good - they were sweetened with something, so they were quite tasty. The grilled seasonal vegetables were zucchini (both yellow and green), and they were a bit plain.
The house salad was quite strange. There was no dressing on it, or with it. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. It also came with two slices of plain baked potato.
