Amorino Gelato is a fun gelato place that we first tried in Paris. Most of their locations are in France and around Europe, but they have one location in the US in NYC.

The neat thing about Amorino Gelato is the way they scoop the gelato in to your cone. They make it look like a pretty flower.

When ordering, you pay for the size of cone/cup you want, and then you can put as many flavors as you want inside. They advise against putting too many flavors in a single serving so the flavors stay distinct.

Gelato in a cone

Cost:$5.25 for a small

Amorino Gelato had a selection of approximately 20 different gelato flavors, both creamy varieties and fruity ones. We ordered a chocolate hazelnut and tiramisu. The gelato was quite creamy, and more importantly, it looked pretty. That makes everything taste better.

My one hesitation with the way they serve the gelato is that the outside layer is actually stuck to the outside of the cone. It melts quickly, and often gets your hands sticky. ...but maybe that's part of the fun.
