Afluka is a middle eastern restaurant located in Jaffa, Israel. They offer fairly typical middle eastern food. When we visited (around 6:00pm on a Monday), the restaurant was completely empty.

Service

When we sat down, a huge selection of "salads" were brought out for us. What a selection! When we had finished, we had to go find someone to pay; nobody came to our table to ask if we were finished.

Cost

The prices were fairly average for the area, I think. Most entrees were around 60 NIS.

Items Ordered

Salads

In most middle eastern restaurants, it's customary for them to bring out a selection of "salads" (which can be actual "American" salads, or small dishes of vegetables, or pickled things). At Afluka, they brought out a huge selection - I think I counted 18 separate dishes with different things on them. Some of them were quite good, and others I didn't enjoy so much, but there sure was a large selection!

Kebab

Cost:54 NIS

This kebab was made of lamb meat, and was pretty good. The pieces of lamb on the skewer were fairly thin, so although the two skewers looks like a lot, I found that it was actually a pretty good portion of meat for a single person. The lamb meat was nicely seasoned.

The skewers were also served with french fries, which I thought was a bit strange - I don't think they're a traditional middle eastern food.
