A Salt & Battery is an English fish & chips restaurant located in Greenwich Village, NYC. They describe themselves as the only truly authentic fish & chips restaurant in NYC. Their portions were quite large, and we had difficulty finishing what we ordered. Fish and chips is never a healthy meal, and this was no exception. Still, it was relatively tasty and fairly affordable.
The restaurant is very small and only has a bar with a few bar stools inside. Out front, they also have a couple of benches to sit at.

The fish was $9.95, and the chips were $5.25.
Service
Just go up to the counter and place your order. When it's ready, they put it on the counter and call out the order (so you have to be paying attention).
Items Ordered
Large Haddock & Large Chips
Fish and chips is fish and chips... haddock is a very bland tasting fish, so battering it and frying it makes it quite tasty. The chips were also pretty good. The haddock was caught locally and tasted fresh.
